        Rise to the Challenge

thumbnail of Rise to the Challenge poster: smokeBegun in the Spring of 2010, the "Rise to the Challenge" campaign is a call to action for all the people of Wisconsin to get involved in ending sexual assault. In particular, the aim is to raise awareness and encourage participation from those individuals who normally would not think of the issue as having any impact or connection to their lives.

thumbnail of Rise to the Challenge poster: listenThe intent is to help community members see the relationship between their own day-to-day interactions and the larger cultural climate; to understand the connection between cultural attitudes and the direct experiences of victims of sexual assault.

The climate that we collectively create around us every day can continue to be one of rape culture – where misogyny, racism, homophobia, and sexist attitudes persist; or it can be transformed into one which supports equality, safety, communication, and embodies a world without violence. It's up to all of us to rise to the challenge every day to bring this new world into being.

Rise to the Challenge posters come in two flavors: SAAM (Sexual Assault Awareness Month logo) and Non-SAAM (for year-round use).  Downloadable files are below.  Pre-Printed posters without the SAAM logo are also in stock and available from WCASA.  There may be a charge for postage. Please contact us if you would like more information about placing an order or submit this Poster-Flier Order Form.
