Born in Canberra\, Australia\, Nathan was sexually abused as a child\, threatened with his life and that of his family. He turned to drugs\, violence and sex as a result to survive. Hitting rock bottom\, Nathan finally came out the other side\, through intense therapy\, Alcoholics Anonymous\, Narcotics and Sex Anonymous. He chooses to share his painful past to spread awareness\, educate and be an advocate for victims of sexual abuse. Join us to hear a dynamic speaker with a powerful story.

DESCRIPTION:Our fabulous Multicultural Outreach Specialist\, Marcela Kyngesburye\, will kick off our Empowered Rhythms series of classes with a mindful movement practice specifically for survivors. Explore well being through mindful movement! Dress comfortably and consider bringing items or props that may support you (blanket\, pillow\, mat\, cushion\, snacks\, water). The movements are adaptable and can be done standing or seated. The class will be located at Dance Life Studio for in-person class\, and it will also be live-streamed virtually on Facebook Live for folks to join in at home!
