DESCRIPTION:Throughout the month of April Embrace will host the second annual “What Were you Wearing?” Survivor Art Exhibit on display at the University Wisconsin Eau-Claire – Barron County. This self-guided exhibit includes short stories from survivors with recreations of the outfits they were wearing when sexually assaulted. This exhibit puts on display the simple yet powerful message that sexual assault is never the survivor’s fault\, no matter what they were wearing. \nEveryone is invited to experience the exhibit at the UWEC – BC Fine Arts Gallery April 5 – April 27\, 2023.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy art work created by volunteer survivors who collaborated together through We Step Into the Light\, a project raising awareness about sexual assault\, relationship and gender based violence\, and stalking. Artists are paired with survivors who act as a muse for the art created. All artwork focuses on celebrating survivors and their ambition\, goals\, and passions of the survivor. Food and refreshments will be provided. Mingle while enjoying art\, music and food. A formal presentation on the project and artwork will take place at 5:45pm.
