WCASA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency governed by a Board of Directors, which is comprised of both members of the community and representatives of our membership organizations across Wisconsin. WCASA's board members are volunteers who use their skills and dedicate their free time toward advancing WCASA's mission to create the social change necessary to end sexual violence.

The Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault (WCASA) staff and board express our deep sadness over the loss of Lydia Witte. Lydia served on the WCASA Board of Directors since 2021. She was an attorney for the Oneida Nation and worked closely with survivors at some of our member programs. She was an advocate for change, tirelessly championing for those on the margins with unwavering dedication. We always appreciated her counsel and guidance; her opinions were valued on our board. As we share stories of Lydia, we connect in our collective experiences of how she approached her work: with utmost care and profound kindness. We will miss her quiet determination and resilience. We will continue to honor Lydia, her work, and the many lives she touched.
