  • Presented by: Josh Beaton, Anti-Trafficking Coordinator and Javier Acevedo-Baez, Outreach Specialist from the UMOS Wisconsin Regional Anti-Human Trafficking ProgramThe UMOS Wisconsin Regional Anti-Human Trafficking Program is a statewide initiative aimed at building the capacity of Wisconsin communities to identify and protect domestic and foreign-born victims of labor & sex trafficking. This webinar will give participating first responders, community members and law enforcement a more in-depth view of how Wisconsin is seeing and handling sex & labor trafficking cases.

    The webinar consists of:

    • An overview of the UMOS Wisconsin Regional
    • Anti-Human Trafficking Program
    • WI state statues on human trafficking
    • Understanding force, fraud & coercion (examples)
    • Relationship building
    • Victim screening & identification (rapid response vs. comprehensive intake)
    • Safety planning
    • Harm reduction/reducing the risk
    • Best practices in a safe response
    • Leveraging and accessing resources
    • Immigration remedies for foreign national victims (continued presence & T-Visa)
